WELCOME

You signed up for a preparedness newsletter, so I want to make sure you know what you’re getting.

This isn’t a doomsday channel. I’m not going to tell you the sky is falling every week. I’m not selling doom and gloom or trying to get you to buy a bunker.

THE READY BRIEF is a daily email about building practical margin into your life. Water, food, power, communication, safety. The basics that most people skip until it’s too late to skip them.

Each week you’ll get:

A main topic broken down in plain language. One small action you can take this week. A product I’m actually testing. A current event worth paying attention to. And a handful of links I think are worth your time.

The tone is calm. The advice is specific. If something is overrated, I’ll say so. If I don’t know something, I’ll say that too.

I’ll also be pulling from people who actually do this for a living. Emergency medics, search and rescue veterans, off-grid homesteaders, food preservation specialists. Real experts with decades of field experience, not internet theorists. Their knowledge applied to your life.

I started this because I realized my own preparedness was a mess. Expired food, no plan, gear I bought and never tested. Sound familiar?

We’ll fix that together, one day at a time.

COMING NEXT

Issue #1 lands in your inbox soon. We’re covering why preparedness matters in the first place, and I’ll recommend the single best piece of gear for a beginner. It’s $35 and worth every penny.
